Eligibility Criteria for Honhaar Scholarships
To qualify for the Honhaar Scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Domicile Requirement: The applicant must have a valid domicile of any district in Punjab.
- Family Income Limit: The monthly household income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs. 300,000. An income affidavit is mandatory (sample affidavit can be downloaded from the official website).
- Program Enrollment:
- Students enrolled from the 3rd to 8th semester of BS programs in selected disciplines at designated universities and colleges are eligible.
- Students enrolled from the 2nd to 5th year of MBBS and BDS programs are also eligible.
- Students enrolled from the 3rd to 8th semester of BS programs in selected disciplines at designated universities and colleges are eligible.
- Minimum Academic Requirement:
- For public sector universities and colleges: At least 70% marks or equivalent CGPA in science disciplines, and 65% or equivalent CGPA in arts disciplines.
- For public sector medical and dental colleges: At least 60% marks in annual examinations.
- For public sector universities and colleges: At least 70% marks or equivalent CGPA in science disciplines, and 65% or equivalent CGPA in arts disciplines.
- Merit Evaluation: Final selection is made on the basis of merit, following the HEC policy guidelines for uniform semester systems in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Pakistan.
