The Honhaar Scholarships are a prestigious financial aid initiative by the Punjab Government to support talented and deserving students across Punjab. Eligibility Criteria for Honhaar Scholarships
To qualify for the Honhaar Scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Domicile Requirement: The applicant must have a valid domicile of any district in Punjab.
- Family Income Limit: The monthly household income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs. 300,000. An income affidavit is mandatory (sample affidavit can be downloaded from the official website).
- Program Enrollment:
- Students enrolled from the 3rd to 8th semester of BS programs in selected disciplines at designated universities and colleges are eligible.
- Students enrolled from the 2nd to 5th year of MBBS and BDS programs are also eligible.
- Students enrolled from the 3rd to 8th semester of BS programs in selected disciplines at designated universities and colleges are eligible.
- Minimum Academic Requirement:
- For public sector universities and colleges: At least 70% marks or equivalent CGPA in science disciplines, and 65% or equivalent CGPA in arts disciplines.
- For public sector medical and dental colleges: At least 60% marks in annual examinations.
- For public sector universities and colleges: At least 70% marks or equivalent CGPA in science disciplines, and 65% or equivalent CGPA in arts disciplines.
- Merit Evaluation: Final selection is made on the basis of merit, following the HEC policy guidelines for uniform semester systems in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Pakistan.

Scholarship Distribution Phases

- Beneficiaries included students enrolled in the 1st semester of BS programs at public sector universities, graduate colleges, selected federal chartered/private universities, and 1st-year medical students.
